The 2026 Homecoming Royal Coronation is scheduled for Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 7:00 PM in the Ballroom located in the Willie A. Tempton, Sr. Memorial Student Center. Please arrive at the Opal Johnson Smith Auditorium no later than 5:45 PM Wednesday, FULLY DRESSED for the occasion.
Homecoming Coronation Rehearsal
The Rehearsal for the Homecoming Coronation is Monday, October 12, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the Ballroom located in the Willie A. Tempton, Sr. Memorial Student Center. Please remember that you do not have to come dressed for rehearsal. Please be prompt and prepared to stay approximately two hours.
Informational ZOOM Meeting for Elected Outer Court Misters and Miss:
A ZOOM meeting will be held to discuss attire, day of itinerary, program preparation, and answer questions. The meeting date is set for September 14, 2026, at 5:30PM via ZOOM. A Link will be sent to all confirmed registrants.
Program Recognition:
To be recognized in the printed program, Misters and Miss of respective department or organization must be registered no later than September 11, 2026.
Dresses:
Queens are to wear FULL-LENGTH, formal gowns, no “Tea” length gowns. Please do not wear these colors champagne, solid gold, white, or ivory. These color gowns will not be approved for coronation. NO HIGH SLITS or LOW CUTs. Please bring your gowns to rehearsal on Monday, October 12, 2026 for Mrs. Jessica Ngoie-Thomas’ approval. Optional: Photos of gowns can be submitted prior to purchase for feedback at pvamuhomecoming@pvamu.edu. Tiaras and/or crowns are prohibited during the Coronation Ceremony. You may wear your sash.
Tuxedos:
Outer court… men are allowed to wear a NICE BLACK Suit. Organizations can purchase or rent suites or tuxedos.
Gifts:
Traditionally, the participating organizations present Mister and Miss Prairie View A&M University with a small gift the night of the Homecoming Coronation.
Organizations may sign up through PVPAWLINK-Royal Court Tab Registration opens Monday, August 3, 2026, through Friday, September 11, 2026.
