Homecoming: Celebrating 150 Years of Panther Pride
At Prairie View A&M University, Homecoming is more than a tradition, it’s a celebration of Panther pride at its finest. It is the sound of the Marching Storm leading the parade, the roar of crowd cheering on our Panther football team, the pride of the 50-Year Class sporting their Gold Jackets, and classmates reconnecting as though no time has passed.
Whether you’re returning for your first Homecoming or celebrating fifty years as a graduate, every Panther is part of the 150-year story that continues to unfold. This year, our Homecoming celebration is especially meaningful as we commemorate 150 years of Prairie View A&M University. We honor the generations of students, alumni, faculty, staff, and supporters whose vision, sacrifice, and generosity have shaped our University’s rich legacy.
For many of us, Prairie View provided more than an education. It provided opportunity, lifelong friendships, mentors who believed in our potential, and experiences that prepared us to lead. Perhaps it was a scholarship that made it possible to stay enrolled, a faculty member who encouraged you when you needed it most, or an organization that helped you discover your purpose. Those opportunities existed because someone chose to invest in Prairie View.
Today, it is our turn.

Which College or School Will Take Home the Trophy?
The PVAMU Homecoming Giving Challenge is an annual fundraising competition that unites Panthers in supporting the colleges, schools, and campus priorities that have shaped their Prairie View experience. This Sesquicentennial year, every gift carries a little more history behind it. Each year, alumni come together to show their pride, give back, and compete for two ultimate prizes:
🏆 Trophy #1 for the college or school that raises the most money
🏆 Trophy #2 for the college or school with the most individual donors
The Goals
Fundraising – Support your favorite college, school, athletics, the Annual Fund, or campus initiative as it works toward its fundraising goal.
Participation – Every donor counts. The more alumni and friends who give, the stronger your favorite area performs in the Homecoming Giving Challenge.
Every Gift Matters – Whether you give $18.16, or $150 in honor of 150 years, or more your generosity makes an impact on students today while helping shape the next 150 years of Prairie View A&M University.
